Understanding Tip Hardness Variations

Our pressed snooker tips are graded on a 0-15 scale to reflect their relative hardness:

0           5           10          15

    Soft        Medium       Hard

While we group tips into Soft (0-5), Medium (5-10), and Hard (10-15), there are natural variations within each category. For example, a Medium tip graded at 6 will feel slightly softer and closer to the Soft range, while one graded at 9 will behave more like a firm or borderline Hard tip.

This finer grading allows players to better match a tip to their personal playing style-for example, a finesse player may prefer a Medium tip on the softer end, while a power player might favour one on the firmer side.
